Ramlösa is a natural mineral water from Sweden with traditions since 1707 which is predominantly in demand in fine dining establishments. In order to revive the product family, a new PET bottle was developed in conjunction with the change from a glass bottle to reduce the carbon footprint of the product. The unobtrusive lines of this new bottle are modelled on the high-quality cut of old crystal glasses, thus translating old-fashioned aesthetics into contemporary product design. The label on the bottleneck, available in three different versions, indicates the level of carbonation and presents the well-known brand elements in a revised form. The structural characteristics of the bottom for a carbonated beverage pet bottle was seen as a design asset and was used as a part to form the total design expression.
