Update

No Picnic creates interaction and graphic design for Pacemaker App.

In 2007 No Picnic met a bunch of crazy guys who wanted to take  a full  DJ-system and make it completely portable. As always, our answer was, why not. The result that came out was a revolutionary product launched in 2008 called Pacemaker® Device. It gained hugh respect within the DJ community and won a total of 14 international design awards.

The years passed, new platforms arrived and people got a whole new view on portability and usability with smartphones and tablets taking over the market. Pacemaker saw a golden opportunity and a chance to get back in the game – Let´s go digital and transform the Pacemaker Device in for a touch interface! With this idea once again came to No Picnic  in august 2011 gave us the task of developing interaction and graphics design for their coming app.

Finally, we can show you the Pacemaker® App, available in june for Blackberry Playbook

Here’s a video from Blackberry World Congress where Pacemaker CEO Jonas Norberg, is presenting the app for the first time:

Designer Kenny Wong and ABB wins Red Dot Best of the Best

Congratulations Kenny!

Before joining No Picnic, designer Kenny Wong did his bachelors project for ABB Robotics. This project led to two years development work together with a large and international engineering team for realization of the project. The project right now is a prototype for development under the name FRIDA (Friendly Robot for Industrial Dual arm Assembly). FRIDA is an easy-to-install robot that can work safely next to humans, in places that are ergonomically designed for manual assembly, without the need for separating the workspace of human and machine. The project recently reached high credibility with the Red Dot Design Concept Award Best of the Best.

Keeping Swedish traditions alive, one step at a time

A big thank you to all of our guests who made this Lucia celebration extra enjoyable!
For those who could not make it, we have captured this moment of Swedish Tradition on video.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from all of us at No Picnic!

No Picnic supports Swedish organization, Friends

Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of mobbing or bullying. We educate and support schools and sports clubs throughout Sweden. Our vision is to see young children and adolescents grow up in a safe and secure society where all are treated equally.

Instead of buying gifts this year, No Picnic decided to buy the worlds most expensive socks. The investment helps lonely children’s situation,  not only at Christmas but in their everyday life.

We wish you all Happy Holidays!
